Galerie Rhéa was established in 1990 by Michael Petropoulos in Zurich; it specialises in Classical, Egyptian, and Near Eastern antiquities. Since the beginning the gallery operates using a simple rule. When buying or selling antiquities from the ancient Mediterranean cultures we strive to serve our customers, be they experienced collectors or beginners, by adhering to strict ethical and archaeological criteria. The authenticity of all items sold is unconditionally guaranteed. Confidentiality is a matter of course. With 30 years of experience in the antiquities trade Mr. Petropoulos has gained a reputation as an expert in his field and the confidence of a number of important institutions, collectors and museums.

Besides being a member of IADAA since its creation, the gallery is also a member of the Swiss Syndicate of Antiquaries and Art Dealers (VSAK) and a member of the International Confederation of Art and Antique Dealers (CINOA).
